Spending too much time on YouTube? Worth Watching turns any YouTube video into a newspaper-style brief, so you can decide in ten seconds whether it deserves twenty minutes. HOW IT WORKS • Hover any thumbnail on YouTube (home page, search, subscriptions, channels) and tick the box. • Select as many videos as you like, then press Summarise. • A side panel shows a brief for each video: – a sharp headline that states the video's main point – two sentences with the core argument and the key evidence – a "worth watching if…" line telling you whether the full video adds anything – channel, publish date, length and language LANGUAGES Videos in languages you read are summarised in their own language; everything else is summarised in English. You choose your languages in the settings. Videos with AI-dubbed audio are detected correctly and summarised from their original language. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no tracking, no analytics. • Summaries and settings stay in your browser. • Only the videos you select are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the brief. WHAT YOU NEED An Anthropic API key (create one at console.anthropic.com). You pay Anthropic directly for what you use. Briefs are written by Claude Haiku 5.5, Anthropic's fastest and cheapest model, so a brief usually costs well under one cent. Saved briefs are reused for free.
