Hover over a thumbnail or use the Summarize button on a video page to see the real premise, two useful takeaways, a watch/skim/skip verdict, and whether the title overpromises. Provider keys, settings, cached summaries, and usage totals stay in the user's local Chrome profile. The extension publisher does not receive or sell this data. Videos without usable public captions, private videos, and some restricted videos cannot be summarized.
