Know what a YouTube video actually says before you spend time watching it. Worth the Watch? reads a video's available captions and produces a compact, structured summary directly on YouTube. Hover over a thumbnail or use the Summarize button on a video page to see the real premise, two useful takeaways, a watch/skim/skip verdict, and whether the title overpromises. Features: - Summaries on YouTube thumbnails and video pages - Watch, skim, or skip verdicts - Clickbait assessment - Visible default prompt or your own manual prompt - OpenAI, Anthropic, or custom backend support - Local caching to avoid repeat requests - Daily limits plus token and estimated-spend tracking - One-click disable control The selected AI provider receives the video title and transcript only to generate the requested summary. Provider keys, settings, cached summaries, and usage totals stay in the user's local Chrome profile. The extension publisher does not receive or sell this data.
