Overview

Clock in, take breaks and log time to your tasks, straight from Chrome. No desktop install needed.

Worktivity Time Tracker brings your work clock into Chrome. Start your shift, take a break, come back, and end the day from a small window in the toolbar. While the shift is open the extension sends one record per minute to your Worktivity account, so your hours land in the same reports your team already uses. It is built for people who cannot install a desktop agent, or would rather not. Chromebook users, people on locked-down company machines, and anyone who just wants a clock. WHAT IT DOES - Start and end your shift, from the popup or a keyboard shortcut - Take a break and go back to work; break time is not counted as work time - Pick the task you are working on and open its details without leaving Chrome: description, status, priority, due date, assignees, comments and attachments - Pick a work note from the list your organization defines - Send one record per minute while the shift is open - Keep working offline: records wait on your device and go out in order once the connection is back - See today at a glance: shift, breaks and total on the Today tab - English, Turkish and German; light, dark and system theme WHAT IT DOES NOT DO This part is deliberate, and it is the reason the extension exists. - It does not collect the addresses of the sites you visit - It does not read tab titles - It does not take screenshots - It does not measure idle time - It does not watch your keyboard or your mouse - It does not ask for the tabs permission This is a time tracking tool, not an employee monitoring tool. The permission list is short on purpose: storage, alarms, and one single address, https://api.useworktivity.com WHAT IT NEEDS, AND WHERE IT STOPS It works while Chrome is open. Close Chrome and the extension stops running with it. When you open Chrome again, a shift that was left open is closed back at the last minute that was recorded, so a forgotten shift does not run all night. A Worktivity account is required, and you cannot create one from the extension. Sign up happens on useworktivity.com, and your account has to belong to an organization before you can sign in here. The links inside the extension open the web app in a new tab.
