WorkSiteCam for Chrome is a companion to your WorkSiteCam account. Create and look up jobs without leaving the page you're on. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Quick-create a job — pre-filled from the page title and any selected text. • Find a job — search your projects by name or address and open it in one click. • See recent jobs right in the popup. • Right-click any text → "Create WorkSiteCam job from selection." HOW IT WORKS Open Options, paste your WorkSiteCam API key (create one in WorkSiteCam → Settings → Developer), and you're connected. The extension talks only to your WorkSiteCam account. You need an active WorkSiteCam account to use this extension. - Language → select English (United States). - Category → select Workflow & Planning. 🔒 PRIVACY PRACTICES tab - Single purpose: Lets a WorkSiteCam user create and find jobs in their own WorkSiteCam account from the browser, using an API key they provide. - storage: Stores the user's WorkSiteCam API key and preferences locally (chrome.storage.local) so they don't re-enter the key each time. - activeTab: Reads the active tab's title and any selected text, only when the user opens the extension, to pre-fill the new-job form. Nothing is read in the background. - scripting: Used with activeTab to read the user's selected text at the moment they open the popup or right-click menu, to pre-fill the new-job form. No persistent or background scripts. - contextMenus: Adds a right-click menu item, "Create WorkSiteCam job from selection," so the user can turn highlighted text into a new job. - host permission: The extension's only network destination. Calls the WorkSiteCam REST API to validate the API key and create, search, and list the user's own jobs. No other host is contacted. - Remote code → select "No, I am not using remote code." - Data usage → tick that you comply with the Developer Program Policies (the certify checkbox), and if it asks what you collect → Authentication information (the API key), not sold, not for unrelated purposes.
