Wordpet – Learn English While You Browse Turn everyday browsing into English vocabulary practice. Wordpet lets you translate unfamiliar English words, save them to your personal vocabulary list, review them with adaptive exercises, and raise a collection of virtual pets as you learn. HOW IT WORKS 1. Highlight an English word or phrase on any webpage. 2. Open the Wordpet translation popup. 3. Choose a Vietnamese meaning or enter your own. 4. Save the word to your vocabulary list. 5. Review it later using short, adaptive learning sessions. TRANSLATE WITHOUT LEAVING THE PAGE Wordpet appears directly on the webpage you are reading, helping you understand unfamiliar vocabulary without constantly switching tabs. Translation features include: - English-to-Vietnamese translation - Optional AI-powered translation with your own DeepSeek API key - Support for individual words and short phrases - Editable meanings before saving - Pronunciation and word information when available BUILD YOUR PERSONAL VOCABULARY LIST Save useful words from articles, documentation, social media, or anything else you read online. Your vocabulary library includes: - English words and Vietnamese meanings - Search and filtering - Pronunciation - Learning progress - Review scheduling - Cloud synchronization when signed in ADAPTIVE VOCABULARY REVIEW Wordpet uses FSRS-6 spaced repetition to decide when each word should appear again. Instead of reviewing every saved word equally, the schedule adapts to how well you remember each one. Review sessions mix several question formats: - Choose the Vietnamese meaning - Choose the English word from a Vietnamese meaning - Type the English word from memory - Fill in a missing word inside a real context sentence - Listen and choose the correct meaning - Listen and type what you hear Context questions include an optional Hint button that reveals the Vietnamese meaning when the sentence is too difficult. You still need to recall and type the English word yourself. When no words are due, you can continue practising without changing the real review schedule. You can also use Wordpet without an account for local vocabulary storage and offline practice. Cloud pets, synchronized progress, and leaderboard features require signing in. OPTIONAL AI TRANSLATION Wordpet supports optional DeepSeek-powered translations. This feature is disabled unless you provide your own API key in Settings. Your key is stored locally in your browser. PRIVACY Wordpet only activates its translation interface when you select text and interact with the extension. Saved vocabulary and local settings are stored through Chrome’s storage system. Account data is synchronized through Wordpet’s cloud database when you choose to sign in. Wordpet does not inject advertising into webpages and does not sell your browsing data. WHO IS WORDPET FOR?
