Wordmi AI turns watching into language learning. While you watch, you see the language you're learning and your own language as two synced subtitle lines. Hover any word in the upper line to see what it means; click it to save it. Wordmi builds exercises from your saved words and brings them back at the right time using spaced repetition. WHILE YOU WATCH • Dual subtitles — the language you're learning on top, your own language below, synced to the video • Bottom line your way — a second subtitle track from the video, or a direct translation of the top line with matching timing • Word mining — hover to see the meaning, click to save the word together with its sentence • Explain this sentence — pauses the video and shows the translation, grammar points and expressions (free account) • Adjustable subtitles — size and colour per line, background, position; Alt+S switches the second line on and off PRACTISE (FREE ACCOUNT) • Flashcards, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank and matching — built from your own words • Spaced repetition (SM-2) — brings each word back just before you'd forget it • Discover — word suggestions at your level, so you can start before you've saved anything • Add your own words by hand, with a meaning and an example sentence if you like • My words — search, filter by source, see how well you know each word, reopen the scene it came from, export everything as JSON • AI Arena — ranked practice sets generated from the words you struggle with, mixing writing, multiple choice, listening and speaking (up to 5 sets a day) • Daily goal, streak, levels, an A1–C2 skill band and a leaderboard DO YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT? Not for watching. Dual subtitles, word lookups and saving words work without an account, and your saved words stay in your browser (looking a word up sends that word to a translation service). A free account opens the study page and syncs your words across your devices. You can sign up with Google or with email; email sign-up asks for a phone number and confirms new devices with a code sent to your inbox. AI features have daily limits; the Arena, tutor chat and report cards also share a weekly allowance. PREMIUM Tutor chat (an AI tutor that reads your real progress and answers in your language) and report cards (a written weekly or monthly review of your progress and mix-ups) are premium. The subscription is sold in the Wordmi mobile app, not inside this extension; once you subscribe, it unlocks here with the same account. HOW TO START Play something on Netflix, open the Wordmi panel from the player controls and pick your two languages. Click a word you don't know, then open the study page and practise. To use Wordmi on YouTube, open a video, click the Wordmi icon in the toolbar and choose "Enable on YouTube". WHERE IT WORKS Netflix and YouTube. YouTube access is optional: the extension asks for it only when you choose to enable it. On YouTube it works on regular watch pages that have captions, including auto-generated ones; Shorts, embedded players and YouTube Music are not covered. LANGUAGES 12 languages to learn and to translate into: English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Arabic.
