WorDic is a privacy-first vocabulary builder for the web. Save words and short phrases in one click, see compact translations right on the page, and review everything from a clean popup. Learn faster without switching tabs, and keep control of your data. Why you’ll love it: Stay in flow with on-page translations and saving. Learn in context as saved words reappear highlighted across sites. Privacy by default: everything is stored locally in your browser. Sync when you want: optional sign-in lets you sync your dictionary, settings, and per-site disables. Fast review: search, sort, edit translations, export, and import. How it works: Select any word or short phrase. Press Alt+Shift+W or use the context menu “Save to WorDic”. WorDic highlights the term and shows a small on-page translation. Open the popup to browse, edit, or export your list. Key features: One-click save via context menu and Alt+Shift+W (configurable at chrome://extensions/shortcuts). On-page highlights with compact, always-visible translations. Quick on-page panel with Speak, Edit, Delete; double-click to open a compact Add panel. Popup list with search, sorting, inline translation edit, and delete with confirmation. Global Highlight toggle and “Disable on this site” for fine control. Export to TXT/CSV and import CSV (handles duplicates and common encodings). Configurable phrase length (for example, 1–5 words). Translations via a configured LibreTranslate endpoint. WorDic does not sell personal data. By default, your words stay on your device. If you turn on sync, your data is stored securely to enable cross-device access. Tips: Some special pages (for example, the Chrome Web Store) block content scripts; test on another site. Change the keyboard shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
