Save words and phrases as you read and build a personal wordbook with AI definitions, examples and reading highlights. Choose English or Simplified Chinese for the interface, independently of your translation target. Settings groups account, language, personalization, about and help. Choose from 18 definition languages, including English and Simplified Chinese. Listen to pronunciations, definitions and examples. Copy a translation together with its word title so it remains clear outside Wordboox. Find saved vocabulary in the side panel with search and color filters. Add personal notes that save automatically, choose reading colors, and revisit saved words by hovering their highlights on a page. Your private wordbook syncs through your Wordboox account. Pro and Ultra members (including lifetime options) can create named solid colors and gradients with an inline color editor. To start, open Wordboox from the toolbar and sign in. Your account starts with a Free wordbook. If you have a membership gift card, redeem it in Settings → Account. On another website, use the Wordboox context menu to enable it for that site, then select a word or phrase and press Alt (Option on Mac) to look it up and save it. You can also hold that key while selecting text. Only Wordboox’s wordbook and account-settings pages are enabled by default; they can be disabled too. An account and internet connection are required for AI generation and cloud sync. Saving new entries is subject to your wordbook capacity; membership features depend on your plan. Existing saved entries remain in your wordbook if AI generation fails. For AI definitions, selected text, necessary context and available custom color labels are sent to Wordboox and DeepSeek. Saved source information and personal notes stay in your private account; personal notes are not sent for AI generation. When sentence-based phrase recognition is enabled, the current sentence and focused word position are also sent through Wordboox to TypeSafe. See the privacy policy for details.
