Wookly Video finds MP4 and M3U8 (HLS) videos on the current page and saves videos you have permission to download as MP4 files on your device. Open a video page, allow video detection when prompted, play the video and open the extension. The popup scans the current tab automatically. Choose a file name and click Download. Downloads continue after the popup closes. Privacy and control Video processing runs in the extension. Video files and video URLs are not uploaded to Wookly servers. Detected URLs, page titles and temporary jobs stay in the current browser session. Optional site access is requested by the user and can be removed in the popup. Playback requests may use the source site's existing browser cookies; the extension does not copy or store Cookie or Authorization headers. Observed Referer and Origin headers are used only for the relevant extension media requests. Supported formats and limits Supports ordinary MP4, compatible recorded HLS, and AES-128 HLS when the source provides the necessary keys. Protected fMP4 may be saved as a protected original; playback still requires the source service's key or license. This does not remove DRM. Live streams, separate-audio HLS, SAMPLE-AES TS sample decryption and YouTube downloads are not supported. The file limit is 4 GB with temporary disk or native saving, or 256 MB with memory fallback. Source authentication, expired links and site restrictions can prevent a download. Use only for videos you own or have permission to download.
