)Overview
Groups your tabs by topic automatically, and puts idle groups to sleep to free up RAM.
You have too many tabs open. Your RAM isn't the problem: Chrome already discards inactive tabs on its own. The problem is that you can't find anything, and you don't dare close anything. Wisp takes care of that. It groups tabs, on its own Three pages from the same site form a group. So do two searches on the same topic: "lisbon weekend" then "what to do in lisbon" meet under Lisbon, because Wisp keeps the word they share. It warns you before it sleeps Halfway through, an hourglass appears on the group in your tab strip. You see sleep coming, and the marker disappears if you go back. Nothing vanishes by surprise. It frees up memory, and attention Putting a group to sleep gives back RAM. Archiving it gives back attention: the whole group leaves your tab strip and comes back in one click, with its name and its colour. It learns your topics, without sending anything Open Amazon, eBay and Etsy at the same time: they file themselves under "Shopping". For everything else, Wisp simply watches which sites keep coming back together and offers to link them. You name it, you accept, or you decline. What Wisp doesn't do It doesn't read the content of your pages. It injects no script. It contacts no server, not even mine. There's no account to create, and the extension works offline. Free, no ads, no tracker.
