WinOTP Reborn
Overview
Securely request TOTP codes from the local WinOTP Reborn desktop app.
WinOTP Reborn WebBridge connects your browser to the locally installed WinOTP Reborn desktop app through a Native Messaging bridge. Browse your account labels and explicitly request a current TOTP code for an account. Account secrets remain in the desktop app; the browser receives only account identifiers, issuers, names, and the code you request with its remaining lifetime. To import an authenticator QR code shown on a webpage, start a QR scan from the extension, select the area containing the QR, and confirm your selection. The extension temporarily captures the visible tab and decodes only the selected rectangle using its bundled decoder. The scanned authenticator URI is sent only to WinOTP on the same device, where validation, import confirmation, and account storage take place. Images and decoded text are not persisted, logged, or sent to remote services. Requires a compatible WinOTP Reborn desktop application, the local browser bridge, and browser extension access enabled in WinOTP. The extension has no cloud account, telemetry, remote code, persistent website access, or automatic page scanning.
