Window & Viewport Resizer
Overview
Chrome extension that resizes the window/viewport to a specified size and captures screenshots of the visible area or the full page
Window & Viewport Resizer is an extension designed to capture screenshots at specified dimensions. With a single click, you can switch the screen (window/viewport) to your target resolution and save or copy captures of the visible area or full page. It is useful for creating blog posts, manuals, and documentation. [Key Features] ◆ Resizing (Window & Viewport Support) - Built-in resolution presets for 16:9 (HD / FHD / WQHD / 4K) and 4:3 (VGA / SVGA / XGA / UXGA). - Customizable offset (margin) values for each preset, in both Window and Viewport modes. - Remembers your last selected size mode (Window / Viewport) and restores it the next time you open the popup. ◆ Custom Size Management - Register your preferred dimensions (e.g., 1280x720, 1024x768). Add, edit, and delete are all supported. - Access saved custom sizes directly from the popup. ◆ Screenshot Capture - Supports both "Visible Area" and "Full Page" capture modes. - Full Page mode automatically scrolls and merges content into a single image. - Choose the save format: PNG (default), WebP, or JPEG. - Copy captures to the clipboard (PNG format). - Customizable save directory name. - Simple icon buttons let you download or copy with a single click. ◆ Option Settings - Dark mode supported popup UI. - Reset feature to restore settings and custom sizes to default states. - Multilingual support (English / Japanese) with automatic browser language detection. ◆ Privacy & Permissions - Works with only the minimum required permissions (activeTab / scripting / storage / downloads). - Your captures and settings are never sent to any external server. [Notes] - Screenshots cover the web page content inside the tab only. The full window, including the browser toolbar and OS title bar, cannot be captured. - Due to Chrome's security restrictions, Viewport-based resizing and capture may not work on special pages such as chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store. - Depending on OS display scaling and window borders, the measured window size may differ from the specified size by a few pixels. You can compensate with the offset setting for custom sizes. *Please note: This extension is currently provided as a beta version.
