Overview

This adds buttons in the Banner Attendance system to assist with the attendance workflow for online courses.

The WilmU Banner Attendance Assistant Chrome extension assists faculty with completing attendance for courses without a scheduled meeting time. When on an attendance entry page for a course, it will check if the native bulk update options are available from Banner. If not, it will add two buttons: “Mark Blanks Present” and “Clear Attendance”. “Mark Blanks Present” will update the hours of attendance for each student with a blank attendance record on the currently selected date (if it is a Sunday). “Clear Attendance” will remove the hours of attendance for each student record on the currently selected date. This added functionality will reduce the number of clicks required to enter attendance, so faculty can focus on verifying attendance and ensuring they mark students that are absent appropriately.
