WillowTab is a clean and elegant new tab extension that offers a focused search experience, multiple search engines, light and dark themes, and thoughtful personalization options—helping every new tab feel calmer and more comfortable. Key Features: Simple Search / Multiple Search Engines Start searching quickly from the search box at the center of the page. WillowTab for Chrome supports using your browser’s default search service, so search behavior better matches your browser settings. You can also switch search engines based on your habits, and enable search suggestions for smoother keyword input. Personalized Backgrounds Choose from a selection of soft preset colors, or create your own by adjusting hue, color intensity, and brightness. You can also import local photos or entire folders and organize multiple images in the wallpaper library. In wallpaper mode, WillowTab adapts the appearance of the clock, text, controls, and search box to the selected image and display settings. Readability protection, search box styles, and overlay controls help the interface blend naturally with wallpapers of different colors and brightness levels while remaining as clear and readable as possible. Light / Dark Themes Choose light mode, dark mode, or follow your system theme for a comfortable appearance throughout the day and in different environments. Appearance Customization Adjust the font, corner radius, shadow strength, settings button position, and tab title to make your new tab feel more personal. Privacy Friendly WillowTab does not include analytics, advertising, or user-tracking services. Personalization settings and wallpapers are stored locally in your browser. When you use search suggestions or submit a search, your keywords are sent directly to the selected search service.
