Wikies UML renders PlantUML diagrams directly on your Confluence Cloud pages. Write a diagram in an ordinary code block and it appears rendered when you view the page. Nothing is uploaded: the PlantUML engine is bundled inside the extension and runs in your browser. WHY CLIENT-SIDE MATTERS Most PlantUML integrations post your diagram source to a rendering server - plantuml.com, a Kroki instance, or a proxy your company runs. For internal architecture pages that is often a non-starter. Wikies UML never makes that request. The renderer runs in a sandboxed iframe with no network access and no access to the page, so your diagram source cannot leave the browser even in principle. HOW TO WRITE A DIAGRAM Confluence has no "plantuml" code block language, so the extension does not key off one. Any code block whose text starts with an @start marker is picked up, whatever language you selected in the code macro: @startuml Alice -> Bob : hello @enduml @startuml, @startmindmap, @startsalt, @startgantt, @startwbs and @startjson all work. FEATURES - Toggle between the rendered diagram and the original source - Diagram theme follows Confluence light/dark mode, or pin it to light or dark. Pinning is a real re-render through the engine, not a CSS filter over an image - Copy the diagram as PNG or SVG - Open full-screen at natural size - Fold the source into an Expand macro titled "PlantUML" and the diagram renders above it, with the source tucked out of the way WHERE IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOTHING The page editor is left alone. Diagrams render in view mode only, so your page content is never modified. The extension never writes to your Confluence pages.
