WiFi & Filter Guard is a Chrome extension for school IT admins. It prevents students from using Chromebooks with WiFi turned off and blocks browsing when the content filter (e.g. Blocksi) is unreachable — catching VPN and DNS bypass attempts. Features: Full-screen block overlay when WiFi is off Content filter heartbeat check — blocks browser if filter URL is unreachable Canva embed blocker — kills YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, and other video embeds inside Canva designs All keyboard, mouse, and touch input captured while blocked Auto-recovers when connectivity and filter are restored Fail-safe design — blocks first, verifies second Admin-configurable heartbeat URLs via Google Admin Console policy Force-installed via Admin Console — students cannot remove it Attempt reporting with signed-in student account
