Wholethread — Chat History Export
Overview
Export a Microsoft Teams chat to JSON, HTML or text, with attachments and voice message transcripts. Saved only on your computer.
Save a Microsoft Teams conversation as a file you keep. Open a chat in Teams in your browser, press Export, and save the conversation as JSON, HTML or plain text. What it saves • Everything the export reached, in order, with sender and time where Teams shows them • Replies together with the message they quote • Shared files and images, downloaded into a folder beside the file (optional) • Voice messages as text: the extension opens the transcription Teams provides for each one and saves the words (optional) • A completeness check on the message history: it says whether the start of the chat was reached and flags breaks in the crawl and long date gaps. Attachments and voice transcripts that could not be saved are counted separately in the export, so check both Date range and repeat runs Pick From and To dates, or run it again later to add only the messages that are new. Private by design Everything happens in your browser. No server, no account, no analytics, and no network requests of its own. Files go to your Downloads folder and nowhere else. Free during launch Every feature is free while we launch. Voice transcripts, attachment downloads, the completeness check and new-messages-only exports will become paid later, and the extension will tell you before that happens. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. Microsoft Teams is a trademark of the Microsoft group of companies.
