Overview

Save a whole web page as one continuous PDF with selectable text and live links. Runs locally—nothing is uploaded.

One long page. One unbroken PDF. Whole Page PDF saves the page you are looking at as a single, continuous PDF file. Click the toolbar button and wait for the green OK badge; the file lands in your Downloads folder, named after the page title. What you get: - No more page breaks. The page is saved as one continuous sheet instead of being cut into letter-size pages, so paragraphs, tables and images are not split across pages. - Lazy-loaded images. The extension scrolls through the page first, so images that load as you scroll are included in the saved file. - Pages that scroll inside a panel. Pages whose content scrolls inside a panel, such as many documentation pages, are saved in full, not just the part you can see. - Selectable text, live links. The text in the saved file is real text you can select and search, and links keep working. - Private, on your device. The page is processed on your computer. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no remote code, and nothing is uploaded. How to use it: open the page, click the Whole Page PDF button, wait for the badge. Long pages can take up to about half a minute. If something goes wrong, a short message appears on the page and the badge shows ERR. Good to know: - While saving, Chrome shows a "started debugging this browser" bar. Chrome requires it whenever an extension uses the debugging permission, and it goes away when saving finishes. Pressing Cancel on it stops the save and nothing is downloaded. - Extremely tall pages are split into several very tall pages rather than one, because of a size limit in Chrome's printing engine. - Pages that are still loading or keep adding content may be saved partially. The badge then shows PART and a note appears on the page. - Some page types are not supported yet. In that case nothing is saved and the extension tells you so. - Browsers managed by an organization may block extensions from debugging tabs, in which case the extension cannot start. - If another extension that manages downloads is installed, Chrome may use a generic filename such as "download.pdf". Turn that extension off, or rename the file. - Browser-internal pages and the extension gallery cannot be saved.
