WhileItRuns pairs with Claude Code. When your agent starts working, it shows a gentle nudge if you drift to X, YouTube or Reddit, plus any site you add with Pro. It pings you when the agent finishes or needs your input. It never sees your prompts or code, only start and stop signals. Set it up with npx whileitruns init, then pair this extension with the code it shows. Free 14-day Pro trial, then US$6 a month. How it works 1. Run npx whileitruns init in your terminal. It asks before it writes the Claude Code hooks, then shows a pair code. 2. Enter the pair code in the WhileItRuns popup. 3. While Claude Code works, open a feed and a small card appears: "Your agent is working", with a timer and a notepad for your next prompt. 4. "Copy and go back" copies your note so you can paste it into the terminal. "Let me scroll 2 min" snoozes the card. 5. When the agent finishes, you get a Chrome notification and a short chime, and the next prompt you wrote is copied for you, so you just paste. If the agent needs your input, the card and the notification tell you. Privacy The hooks send only the event type, a SHA-256 hash of the session id and a timestamp. Never prompts, code or file paths.
