Overview

Make each environment recognizable at a glance.

WhereEnv makes it easy to recognize which website environment you’re viewing. It adds a colored sticky label to pages that match your configured URL prefixes, helping you distinguish Production, Staging, Development, and Local at a glance. When environments look almost identical, it’s easy to lose track of where you’re working. WhereEnv gives you a clear visual reminder before you edit data, run tests, or make changes—helping reduce accidental actions in the wrong environment. Customize labels and colors, assign multiple URL prefixes to each environment, and add or remove environments to suit your workflow. Reorder them to decide which label takes priority when URL rules overlap. The label becomes more transparent when your pointer approaches it and lets clicks pass through to the page beneath. Click the extension icon to open settings. Spend less time checking the address bar and work with greater confidence across environments.
