What's the Catch?
Overview
Reads privacy policies, terms and cookie notices for you, only when you click, and flags what you care about.
What's the Catch? A Chrome extension that reads a site's privacy policy, terms and cookie notice for you and flags the clauses you care about: selling your data, tracking, forced arbitration, AI training on your content, and more. It only runs when you click it. Nothing is scanned in the background, nothing is sent anywhere, and there are no accounts or servers. How it works: Set your preferences once. For each category, choose OK, Warn me, or Dealbreaker. Click the icon on any site. It finds that site's policy links and reads them in your browser. See what matters to you. Dealbreakers come first, then warnings, each with the exact sentence quoted. Things you marked OK are tucked away. If a policy lives on a separate server (like policy.pinterest.com), Chrome asks your permission for that one site first. It's a keyword scan, not legal advice: it can miss or misread clauses.
