Overview

Gentle break reminders: rest your eyes, stand up, stretch and drink water — timed to your real activity, not a blind clock.

Six hours into a good work session, the body keeps score. Shoulders creep up, eyes go dry, the water glass is still full from this morning. You already know what to do about all of it. The problem is that nothing reminds you at the moment it would actually help. Wellbeing Coach handles that part. It counts how long you have really been working in the browser and steps in at sensible moments: a break reminder before the stiffness sets in, an eye rest before the screen starts to blur, a glass of water somewhere in the middle of the afternoon. WHAT IT REMINDS YOU ABOUT Movement. Stand up, walk to the window, roll your shoulders, reset your posture. You choose the interval — for most people a minute away from the desk every hour is enough. Eye rest. Built around the 20-20-20 rule: every twenty minutes, twenty seconds looking at something twenty feet away. It remains the cheapest thing anyone has found for screen eye strain. Hydration. A quiet drink water reminder through the day, with a running count of glasses so you can see whether you actually kept up or only meant to. Breaks. Short recovery periods between long stretches at the computer, so the day has some rhythm instead of one flat block from morning to evening. Focus sessions. Set a block of concentrated work and get a break at the end of it. Close to a pomodoro-style timer, without the ceremony around it. Breathing. Two minutes of slow breathing when the day gets tight. It does more than the fourth coffee, and it takes less time. ON INTERRUPTING WELL Most reminder extensions get switched off in the second week, and it is almost always for the same reason: they interrupt at the wrong moment. A blind timer does not know that you sat down thirty seconds ago, or that you were at lunch for the last six alerts. Wellbeing Coach follows real browser activity instead of the clock. Nothing fires while you are away, and nothing fires immediately after a break you have just taken. If a notification still lands badly, dismiss it — the next one shifts rather than stacking up behind it. YOUR DAY AT A GLANCE One panel shows what is done and what is still open: breaks taken, glasses counted, focus blocks finished. Nothing to log by hand. Over a week it is a fair picture of your screen time habits, and usually a slightly uncomfortable one. MAKE IT YOURS Turn off whatever you do not want. If hydration is not your problem but your eyes are, run only the eye reminders. Intervals, notification sounds and quiet hours are all adjustable, and the settings carry over between your Chrome profiles. PRIVACY Your activity and settings are stored locally in your browser unless explicitly stated otherwise. No account is required to use the core features. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel. WHO IT IS FOR People who spend the working day inside a browser: developers, designers, analysts, writers, support and sales teams, students in long study sessions, and anyone working from home without the small natural interruptions an office provides. If you have ever finished a day and realised you did not stand up once, this is the gap it fills. Free to use. Bug reports and feature requests are welcome — write to the address on this listing.
