WebVoice - Web Page Reader

Overview
Read selected text or articles aloud. Adjust speed, translate, choose voices, and export cloud TTS audio.
WebVoice turns busy web pages into focused reading and listening sessions. Select a passage, clean the main article, compare an original with its translation, or open a local book. WebVoice keeps the reading workflow in the current browser tab and gives you clear controls over what will be spoken. WEB PAGE CLEANUP - Extract the main article or use the current selection - Preview headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, code, and tables before playback - Remove unwanted blocks and restore them when needed - Choose whether titles and author details should be spoken - Copy the cleaned original text or translated text with one click - Keep the source page unchanged BILINGUAL READING - Show original and translated text side by side - Translate before playback when the target language differs - Keep the current sentence or paragraph visible while listening - Use a configured translation provider only when you choose to translate LOCAL BOOK READER - Open EPUB, TXT, HTML, HTM, Markdown, and MD files from your device - Browse EPUB chapters and table-of-contents entries - Read one chapter at a time without uploading the full book to WebVoice - Imported books remain temporary and are not saved as a permanent cloud library - DRM-protected or encrypted EPUB files are not supported PLAYBACK CONTROLS - Play, pause, resume, and stop - Move to the previous or next paragraph - Jump through longer content with the progress control - Adjust reading speed and choose an available voice - Follow the current sentence or paragraph with optional automatic scrolling - Use keyboard shortcuts and the selected-text quick menu LOCAL AND CLOUD VOICES Free local reading uses voices provided by Chrome or your operating system. Page cleanup, bilingual reading, local book import, translation workflows, and local playback controls are available in the local reader. Pro unlocks supported cloud TTS providers and cloud-generated audio export. Cloud providers may require your own API key and may charge separately. Payments open Stripe-hosted pages; WebVoice does not collect card numbers. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Local reading and page cleanup are processed in the browser. Page text is not uploaded to the WebVoice license service. Text is sent to a third-party TTS or translation provider only when you configure and use that provider. Purchase verification sends the checkout email and a device identifier to the WebVoice license service. The service checks Stripe and enforces the current device limit. Provider keys entered in Settings are stored locally in Chrome extension storage. Some Chrome internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, protected frames, browser PDF viewers, canvas-rendered text, and closed Shadow DOM content may not be readable because of browser security restrictions.
