WebSong: a melody from any website

``` WebSong turns the address of the page you're on into a short tune. The same address always plays the same melody on every visit, because the tune comes entirely from the address itself, not from anything on the page. Different pages on a site each get their own tune, and so does the same page reached with a different query string (a tracking link like ?utm_source=... is a different address, so it sounds different). HOW IT WORKS Click the toolbar icon and WebSong reads the address of your current tab, turns it into a number, and uses that number to generate a short melody over a musical scale. Press play to hear it through your speakers, or download it as a standard .mid file. Pressing Alt+M plays the current tab's tune straight away, without opening the popup. That's it. No page content is ever read, only the address string. PRIVATE BY DESIGN WebSong asks for the bare minimum: activeTab (so a click or the keyboard shortcut can read your current tab's address), storage (to remember your settings), and offscreen (a silent, no-prompt permission that lets WebSong play audio when the popup isn't open: the Alt+M shortcut and the optional auto-play feature below). It never reads anything on the page you're viewing, never tracks your browsing, and sends no analytics or telemetry of any kind, ever, for anyone. If you never buy Premium, WebSong makes NO network request of any kind: melody generation, playback, and MIDI export all run on your own device, always. If you DO buy Premium, WebSong checks your purchase status with ExtensionPay: a fresh check every time you open the popup, and (separately) a check per Alt+M press or per auto-play navigation, capped to at most once every 60 seconds by a short cache so rapid browsing or repeated Alt+M presses don't multiply the checks. That purchase check is the only network traffic WebSong ever makes, and it carries no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry of any kind. OPTIONAL AUTO-PLAY (off by default) If you'd like WebSong to play automatically whenever you land on a new site, turn on "Auto-play on every site" in the popup. This is the ONLY thing that asks for an extra permission: Chrome will prompt you to grant the `tabs` permission at that moment (not at install), because reading every tab's address as you browse requires it. That prompt reads "Read your browsing history" (Chrome's standard warning for `tabs`; see the permission table below). Once granted, WebSong plays the tune of whichever tab is the active tab in its window as you browse, even with the popup closed. It uses a silent background audio page (no window, no UI, no page access) that Chrome creates for exactly this purpose. A tab counts as "active" per WINDOW, not by whether that window currently has your focus. So if you keep more than one Chrome window open, the active tab in a window you're not currently looking at can still play. Only non-active tabs (pages loading in the background of the same window) stay silent. If you never turn this on, WebSong never asks for `tabs` and never reads any tab you haven't explicitly clicked into or hotkeyed. Auto-play uses the same settings and style as manual play, including any premium style you've unlocked. Turn any web address into a tune. WebSong itself records nothing about you and adds no tracking of any kind. Free users: WebSong contacts no server at all, unless you tap Upgrade. Tapping Upgrade registers a licence key with ExtensionPay before opening its checkout page.
