Overview

Track time against a launch or migration project. Syncs with the Website Toolkit server.

Website Toolkit: Time Tracker is the companion timer for your Website Toolkit account. Start a timer from your toolbar, pick the launch or migration project you're working on, and every minute is logged straight into your account's time reports. You don't need a spreadsheet or to rebuild your timesheet at the end of the day. One-click timer Pick a project, add an optional category and a short description, and press Start. The elapsed time shows on the toolbar icon so you can see at a glance that the clock is running. Press Stop and the entry is saved to your account, with a notification confirming how long you logged. Shared with your team The timer syncs with your Website Toolkit server every minute. If a teammate on the same account starts or stops the timer from their own browser, your extension picks up the change. Add your name in Settings and every entry you log is labelled with it, so multi-person reports stay readable. Resume recent tasks The Recent Tasks tab lists the work you've logged over the last two weeks. Click "Resume This Task" to restart a timer with the same project, category and description, or "Edit latest task" to correct the times or wording on your most recent entry. Log time after the fact Forgot to start the timer? Enter a date, start time and end time and save a manual entry. Times are entered in your local timezone and stored correctly whatever timezone you're in. Optional conveniences • Project auto-filtering: when you open the popup on a client's site, the project list narrows to the projects that match that domain, staging subdomains included. You can always click "Show all" to see the full list. • Review before saving: turn off auto-save on stop, and the timer fills in the start and end times for you to check before you save the entry yourself. Getting started Open your Website Toolkit client portal and go to Time Tracking to generate your account token. Click the extension icon, then ⚙ Settings. Enter your Website Toolkit server URL and token, and optionally your name. Click Test Connection. Your active projects should be listed. Open the popup, pick a project and start tracking. A Website Toolkit account is required. The extension talks only to the server you configure. It doesn't track your browsing, read page content or send data anywhere else.
