WebRecall is your personal memory layer for the web. Leave rich notes on any page, customize how they look, get reminded about them exactly when you want — all without an account, a server, or your data ever leaving your device. ✨ WHAT'S NEW Rich-text notes — bold, italic, links, quotes, code blocks, and checklists, with markdown shortcuts as you type. Custom reminders — pick any exact date and time from a calendar, not just quick presets, with a real notification when it's due. Custom colors — recolor any preset to any hex value, or apply a one-off color to a single note. Per-domain change tracking — opt any specific site into local content-change detection, right from its page. Editable templates — rename, restructure, or delete your saved templates anytime. 📝 WHAT YOU CAN DO Leave notes anywhere. Highlight any text on a page, right-click, and choose "Remember this" to pin a note to that exact passage. Notes reappear automatically next time you visit, anchored to the text you selected. Set reminders. Attach a reminder to any note — "remind me next time I visit," a quick preset, or a custom date and time — and WebRecall surfaces it right when it matters. Track what's changed. Turn on tracking for a page you revisit often, and WebRecall will let you know when its content has meaningfully changed since your last visit, without storing a copy of the page itself. Build domain memory. Keep a running scratchpad of what you know about a website as a whole — not just a single page — so context builds up the more you use a site. See your timeline. A full history of the pages you've visited and notes you've written, organized so you can find anything you left yourself. Reusable templates. Save note formats you use often as templates, insert them into any note in one click, and edit them anytime. Back up and restore. Export everything to a single JSON file whenever you want, and import it back in on another device or after a fresh install. 🔒 YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS WebRecall has no server, no account, no analytics, and makes no network requests of any kind. Every note, reminder, and snapshot is stored locally in your browser using local-only storage — never synced through a vendor's servers, never sent anywhere. You can export your data or permanently delete it at any time, right from the settings page. 🔑 PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED WebRecall only asks for what each feature needs: storage to save your notes, alarms and notifications to power reminders, context menus for "Remember this," and access to the current tab only when you actively use the extension on it.
