WebProof
Overview
Prove anything you can see when logged in to a website, revealing only what you choose. Cryptographic proofs of web data.
WebProof lets you prove things about your own online accounts to someone else, revealing only the fields you choose and never your login. Log in to a site as you normally would. WebProof cryptographically witnesses that session and produces a signed proof of just the facts you approve, for example your Spotify top artist, your Duolingo streak, or your Discord profile. Your password, cookies, and everything else on the page stay on your device. How it works: 1. Open the extension and pick what you want to prove. 2. Log in to the site in the window that opens, exactly as usual. 3. Approve the exact fields to reveal. Nothing else is shared. 4. You get a signed credential that anyone can verify. Privacy by design: • Your login never leaves your browser in readable form. • An approval screen shows the exact data before anything is shared. • No analytics, no tracking, no profiles. • Your proof history is stored only on your device. WebProof is built on the open-source TLSNotary protocol. A verification service witnesses your encrypted connection cryptographically; it can confirm the data genuinely came from the site but cannot read your login or the parts of the page you did not reveal.
