Webpage MCP Connector exposes browser capabilities from your own Chrome browser to MCP-compatible AI clients and local tools. Instead of launching a separate automation browser, it works with the Chrome environment you already use, including your real tabs, signed-in sessions, site settings, and installed extensions. After setup, supported clients can use this extension to open pages, read web content, click and type, capture screenshots, inspect console and network activity, and perform other browser-assisted tasks through a local MCP bridge. This extension is designed for users who want AI tools to operate in their actual Chrome environment rather than in an isolated browser instance. It requires a local companion service for Native Messaging and MCP integration.
