Overview
Save any webpage as a .webarchive file and open .webarchive files directly in Chrome.
WebArchive Pilot makes it easy to save webpages as .webarchive files and reopen them directly in Chrome. Whether you are saving research, product pages, documentation, receipts, dashboards, articles, or reference material, WebArchive Pilot helps you keep a portable copy of the page after it has fully loaded in your browser. What you can do with WebArchive Pilot: • Save the current page as a .webarchive file • Save all open tabs in the current window • Save only the tabs to the left or right of the active tab • Save pages from the right-click context menu • Open .webarchive files directly inside Chrome • Reopen downloaded archives from a built-in archive library • View archives created by Safari as well as archives created by this extension WebArchive Pilot uses Chrome’s built-in page capture capabilities to preserve the loaded page and package it into a .webarchive file. It also includes a built-in viewer that can decode and render saved archives in a Chrome tab, so you do not need Safari just to open them. Why people use WebArchive Pilot: • Archive important webpages for later reference • Keep copies of pages that may change over time • Save research material and source pages • Preserve authenticated or dynamically rendered pages after they load • Move .webarchive files more easily between Safari and Chrome workflows Designed for a simple workflow: 1. Open the page you want to keep 2. Save it as a .webarchive file 3. Reopen it later directly in Chrome WebArchive Pilot runs locally in your browser and focuses on a lightweight, practical archive workflow without extra services or complicated setup. Notes: Some highly interactive websites or pages that depend on live server data may not replay exactly the same when opened later. Browser-internal pages such as chrome:// pages cannot be archived by Chrome extensions.
