Overview

Add-on for Web4u class registration: drag-and-drop classes, compare course loads, and save your schedule to your calendar.

Web5u works inside Western Washington University's registration website (Web4u) to make planning your next quarter a breeze. Developed by Connor Mausolf. Plan your quarter • A searching in the Web4u catalogue, press "+ Add" on a course to add it to the queue. Courses you add will be used in your week-builder. • If an 8 AM is too early, or a tie-slot is already full, simply uncheck it from the list, so they stay out of your way. • In Web5u, all the relevant info is shown to you: seat counts, waitlists, credit totals and GURs. Drag-and-drop courses Because you build your schedule around needs, not convenience, Web5u knows every time/professor for the class you need. • Simply drag a course onto the weekly calendar and all of its available times appear. Drop the one that works for you in the available slot. • Conflicts show up before you commit, including potential conflicts with classes you've already registered for. Find the schedule that fits your needs • View and edit up to three schedules at the same time, comparing them side by side—great for backups when a class fills up, or your schedule changes. • The compare view shows summaries of the information students need to plan their lives: days on campus, earliest start, longest day, time between classes, and more. Register for classes on Web4u • Using the "+ Add Plan to Web4u" button, all your desired courses will be entered into the registration website, pending your approval. • Web5u NEVER revokes your autonomy and registers for you. The submission is ALWAYS your decision. Save your schedule to your calendar • After officially registering, click the "Download calendar file (.ics)" button at the bottom of the page to export the classes you'll take to your preferred calendar, such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. • In your calendar, the entry will display the professor's name, the building and room number, the time of day. *Because Western's holiday schedule may vary year-to-year, it is best to verify against the official holiday schedule on the university website to ensure dates/breaks line up. Web5u only runs on Western's official Web4U's registration page (registration-banner-wwu-edu) Your entries are saved in LocalStorage via the Google Chrome browser—Web5u does not (and CAN not) view or collect personal data via backend servers. Your information is always private. Your session ID and IP address are always private. ***Web5u is a student project and bears no official affiliation with Western Washington University or Ellucian Banner.***
