Overview

Convert web pages and ChatGPT conversations to PDF, Markdown, EPUB or image. Article, full-page and custom modes. Save to Drive.

Web to File saves the page you are reading as a PDF, a Markdown file, an EPUB, or an image, and lets you decide how much of the page comes with it. Printing to PDF keeps the whole page, advertising included, and an ordinary screenshot leaves you with an image you cannot search. Web to File takes a different route. It extracts the readable article, captures the full page as it is rendered, or exports only the blocks you selected, and writes the result straight to your device, or to your own Google Drive. ✨ THREE EXPORT MODES 1️⃣ Article — pulls the main content out of an article-style page and leaves navigation, ads, and comment sections behind. Useful for saving a webpage as Markdown for your notes, or as a clean PDF to read offline. 2️⃣ Full Page — captures the page as it is rendered, all the way to the bottom rather than just the visible window. Ad slots, cookie banners, and sticky headers are cleared away first, so a full page screenshot of a dashboard, a receipt, or a long thread keeps the layout without the clutter. 3️⃣ Custom — click the parts of the page you want, then review, reorder, and edit the selection in the side panel before you export it. Built for pages where the useful content is spread across sections. 🤖 AI CONVERSATIONS Open the panel on a ChatGPT conversation and the whole thread comes through as a document — every turn, in order, with the speaker on it — ready to save as PDF, Markdown, EPUB, or an image. Both kinds work: a conversation of your own while you are signed in, and a shared conversation link somebody sent you. It reads the conversation from the page's own data rather than from what is drawn on screen, so a long thread does not lose the turns that have scrolled out of view, and code blocks keep their language and their exact text. Markdown exports carry the model's original text unchanged. 📄 EXPORT FORMATS • PDF, paginated with selectable, searchable text. Choose from 19 page sizes, including A4 and Letter, in portrait or landscape. Or render it as one continuous page instead of sheets, with an optional header and footer carrying the title, source URL, and page numbers. • Markdown, with headings, lists, links, and tables preserved, so the file drops cleanly into any Markdown notes app. • EPUB, for e-readers and phones, with the article's images embedded so the file still opens offline. Chapters are built from the page's own headings. • Image, as PNG, JPEG, or WebP, saved at the resolution the page renders at. Your format choice is remembered. ☁️ SAVE TO GOOGLE DRIVE Connect your Google Drive once in Settings, and the Send button next to Download puts the export into a "Web to File" folder in your Drive, in any of the four formats. The file goes from your browser to Google, not through any server of ours. Web to File asks Google only for access to the files it creates itself: your other documents, photos and folders in Drive stay out of its reach, and the Google sign-in screen says so before you agree. Files you sent can be opened again from the export history. 🔥 WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Chinese, Japanese, and Korean pages come out complete, with text that stays selectable and searchable in the PDF. • You choose the scope for each page: the article, the full page, or blocks you pick by hand. • You can edit before you export, because Custom mode gives you a review step instead of a blind capture. • Recent exports stay in the side panel, where you can reopen a file or download it again. • Pages are converted locally in your browser. The file goes to your device, or to your own Google Drive when you choose to send it there. • The interface is available in more than 160 languages. 📚 WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR • Saving articles as EPUB to read offline, on a phone or an e-reader • Clipping research into a Markdown notes vault • Archiving a page before it changes or disappears • Turning documentation into a PDF to annotate or share • Capturing a receipt, invoice, or confirmation page as an image 🔒 PRIVACY BY DESIGN Web to File converts pages inside your browser, and only when you ask it to. Page content, exported files, and browsing history are never sent to our servers. There is no Web to File account and no tracking. Web to File never reads your other files. It does not browse or read the files on your computer; it only writes the exports you ask for, and opens a local file only if you open it in a tab yourself and ask to export it. If you connect Google Drive, it can see only the files it created there, and Google enforces that limit. Disconnecting in Settings revokes the access. Full policy: https://webtofile.pandaopus.com/privacy Chrome lists Web to File under "Full access" because converting a page means reading it, and the PDF is rendered by Chrome's own print engine. That access is used only on the tab you open the panel on, only while you are exporting, and nothing is uploaded unless you send a file to your own Google Drive. 🌐 LINKS Website: https://webtofile.pandaopus.com Support and feedback: https://webtofile.pandaopus.com/support Release notes: https://webtofile.pandaopus.com/changelog
