Overview

Control web players remotely via a WebSocket connection

Web Player Remote Control (WPRC) lets you control supported web players in your browser, without interrupting your current activity. Connect the extension to a WebSocket server — such as the official WPRC Server or your own custom server — and send playback commands like play/pause, next track, or set volume. You can trigger these commands using any tool or device that can send HTTP requests to the server, such as global keyboard shortcuts, scripts, or external controllers. The extension works with web players like YouTube Music and Audible and offers a simple popup UI that allows you to easily connect or disconnect from your WebSocket server as well as monitor the connection status. Key features: - Remote control for web players via a WebSocket connection - Supports commands like play/pause, next/previous track, set volume, fast forward, and fast rewind - Compatible with YouTube Music and Audible - Easily connect to the official WPRC Server or your own custom WebSocket server Take control of your browser’s media playback — without switching tabs or interrupting your workflow!
