Side bar says something has been highlighted, but visually it is not

Most of the time highlighting works the way it should. But randomly and without reason, I will highlight a portion of a page and it will not show as highlighted. If I look at the side bar it shows it was highlighted. This is really frustrating as there is no reason for it to work but even if I keep trying to highlight the same line it doesn't show.

Not working at all

There is no way to highlight any text. I'm upset because the reviews of this extension seem wonderful. I've tried all methods, right clicking, and alt + _ but nothing appears. Clicking 'highlight' does nothing. I really want this to work.

Allow highlighting on YouTube

I would like to be able to take notes while while watching a YouTube video, but currently it is very difficult because the video pauses and plays every time I press the spacebar.

Please block the YouTube player from detecting the spacebar/pausing and playing when we're writing notes.

Highlights not highlightning

I have loved this extension for a long time now but out of the blue it is not working anymore, I deleted it, reinstall it and nothing. What happens is that whenever I select any text in a PDF or webpage, the highlighter does not appear so I can't highlight anything at all. I don't know what's wrong but I really need and find this useful so I'll try any suggestions. Hopefully this can get fixed soon :(

Highlights not function well in ChatGPT

After selecting texts generated by ChatGPT (in its website), there's no highlight icon now and the only way to highlight is to right-click the selected words and then choose the `highlight` selection. After doing so, the highlighted area is also not clickable for further editing or notes reviewing.

Highlights only reappear in the side bar when reloading page

After exiting/refreshing a page where I have already made annotations, the highlights only appear in the sidebar. Why is this? Can one change this setting, such that the highlights always appear in situ (at the location on the respective pages where I initially made them?)

Notion Export: Can't select a page

I connect Notion and Web Highligts, but I can't select a page (step 2 of the instruction: https://web-highlights.com/blog/how-to-export-highlights-to-notion-with-one-click/). What am I doing wrong?

How do you export the highlighted PDF with all the highlights visible.

How do you export the highlighted PDF with all the highlights visible as I have tried to figure this out however all downloads are blank it is only when I return to the extension document the highlights are present.

Still asks me to allow for files

I followed the pop up instructions, but whenever I open my PDF in chrome and click highlight, it sends me to a page blocked by a pop-up asked me to allow access via chrome settings, which I already did. No luck w/restarting
