Web Buddy - Automate Web Navigation Using Voice Command

Voice-driven web navigation agent for non-technical users

Web Buddy is aimed towards users with less computer / technical experience. Users can click the robot icon and type directions or actions they want the agent to fulfill. The agent will then take actions on your end to complete these items and navigate web pages on your behalf. HOW TO USE THE EXTENSION: 1. Once extension is installed, allow the helper to listen to your mic when browsing across websites. This will allow it to be triggered on command. 2. To activate the buddy say, "hey buddy" and then speak your request for web navigation, or ask any question. 3. If you're satisfied with the results and want to terminate the buddy early, say "thanks buddy" to stop the agent. 4. You can tweak the settings to allow the agent to voice its process of navigating the web page, and also update your personal info in case you want the helper agent to fill out simple forms. Note: If you don't want to use the voice activation command, you can click the microphone icon instead to voice your request. WHEN TO USE: If you are having trouble finding a page or section on a website that is heavily layered or difficult to navigate, you can use hey helper to find what you're looking for. Buddy reads the DOM of the webpage and helps pinpoint info related to your request.
