Overview

Audits Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO and Agentic readiness on any page, with copy-paste fix prompts.

Web Audit+ audits the page you are on, scores it, and writes a fix prompt for every failing audit, so the next step is always clear. Five scores in one click. Open any website, click the icon and press Run audit. Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO are scored by a bundled audit engine with the standard metric weights and thresholds, including the Core Web Vitals, simulated throttling and mobile or desktop emulation, right on your tab. The fifth score, Agentic, is new: it measures how well the page serves AI crawlers and assistants. Seven deterministic checks make up the score: a robots.txt that does not block known AI bots, a valid sitemap.xml, real content in the raw HTML before JavaScript runs, a fast time to first byte, no AI opt-out signals, HTTPS with HSTS, and HTML that stays the same when a bot asks for it. Fifteen more conventions, such as llms.txt, Schema.org JSON-LD and a markdown twin of the page served through content negotiation, are reported as suggestions and never lower the score. No language model is involved anywhere; the same page always gets the same result. A fix prompt for every failing audit. Each prompt names the audit, quotes exactly what was found (elements, URLs, measured values), explains why it matters, how to fix it and what done looks like. Copy one audit, one category or everything at once, and paste it into the coding assistant you already use. A report you can work from. Failed audits come first and passed ones are folded away. Search and filter, or open Fix next, which ranks every fix by the points it would add to your score. Run the same page again and the report shows what changed: fixed, worse, new, and the score deltas. Keyboard throughout: / to search, j and k to move, c to copy a fix prompt. Exports. A print-ready PDF with a cover, every finding written out, the ranked fixes and page numbers; a single-file HTML report that works offline; the full run as JSON; a markdown summary for a pull request or a ticket. Private by default. Runs are saved in your browser and never leave it. There is no account, no server and no analytics. The extension makes no network requests except to the site you are auditing, and those requests are the audit itself: the page, its robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap and markdown twin. About the "started debugging this browser" bar. While an audit runs, Chrome shows a bar saying that Web Audit+ started debugging this browser. That is how Chrome tells you an extension is using the debugger, which the audit engine needs to load the page with throttling and emulation and to record a trace. The bar goes away when the run ends, and pressing Cancel on it stops the run. It also appears for a moment when you download a PDF, because the report is printed through the same mechanism. Made for web developers checking page speed, SEO and accessibility before a release, for agencies auditing client sites, and for anyone getting a site ready for AI search and AI agents. Open source under Apache-2.0. The code, the check catalog and the test suite are on GitHub. Requires Chrome 125 or later.
