Wayword — URL Aliases
Overview
Give favorite websites memorable names and open them from Chrome's address bar.
Turn long links into words you remember. Wayword lets you give favorite websites simple names such as “work docs,” “calendar,” or “morning news.” To go there, type `ww` in Chrome's address bar, press Tab, type the name, and press Enter. What you can do: - Create, edit, search, and delete URL aliases. - See matching suggestions while you type. - Use a unique beginning of a saved name for even faster navigation. - Sync your names through Chrome when Chrome Sync is enabled. - Import or export a JSON backup. Private by design: - No access to the pages you visit. - No browsing-history permission. - No analytics, advertising, or developer-operated server. - Only Chrome's storage permission is requested. Chrome requires address-bar extensions to begin with a keyword. Wayword uses `ww`, a short and memorable trigger.
