Waypoint — Deep Reef Ember combines the cold darkness of the deep ocean with an unexpected ember-red glow. Chrome is styled in deep marine blue, blue-black, muted steel-teal and icy white, with bright cyan accents keeping the interface crisp and readable. The new-tab scene descends beneath the surface to a forgotten shipwreck resting in dark water. Above it, intense red-orange light breaks through the surface like an ember burning over the reef, while rays of light disappear into the blue depths. The contrast between fire-like light and the cold sea gives the theme its name.
