Overview

Chrome browser theme matched to Waypoint's Charcoal Mono palette with a restrained, overlay-dominant frame treatment.

Waypoint — Charcoal Mono gives Chrome a restrained monochrome look built around deep charcoal surfaces, soft grey tones, and subtle warm highlights. The browser frame stays dark and minimal, keeping tabs, controls, and text clear while avoiding strong colour distractions. The new-tab artwork looks across a futuristic city of tall black towers beside a reflective river. Heavy storm clouds dominate the sky, while a break in the clouds sends warm sunlight across the mountains and between the buildings. Wet paths and water reflections pick up the remaining light, creating a dramatic contrast between the nearly monochrome skyline and the soft gold breaking through the darkness. Charcoal Mono is made for Waypoint, a Chrome productivity extension designed to make busy browsing easier. Waypoint can search across your open tabs instantly, save entire browsing setups as workspaces, help organise work using tab tasks, and use AI to summarise or understand the page you are currently viewing. Dark towers, storm clouds, and one last break of light across the city.
