Overview
Track job applications across LinkedIn, Indeed & more. Tailor your resume to each job in your own words, and approve every change.
Most job applications are read by software before a person sees them. Waypoint shows you how your resume lines up with each job, tailors it in your own words, and tracks every application from saved to offer. WHY THE ATS MATTERS Many employers, especially larger ones, run applications through an applicant tracking system (ATS). It reads your resume into fields, compares it with the job posting, and helps recruiters sort and search candidates. A resume that doesn't use the posting's language, skips a section, or mixes date formats can rank lower or be missed, even when you're a strong fit. You can't see inside any one company's ATS. You can make sure your resume reads cleanly and speaks to the job. That's what Waypoint checks. ATS SCORE (Pro) Open a tailored resume and see a score out of 100 for how it lines up with the job it was tailored for, with the breakdown behind it: ★ Keyword match — the posting's keywords that appear on your resume ★ Skills coverage — the required and preferred skills you show ★ Job title — whether your headline uses the job's title ★ Sections — contact details, summary, experience, education and skills ★ Date format — dates written in one consistent format Each check is weighted, so you can see which fix is worth the most. Waypoint lists the posting's keywords that aren't on your resume, suggests what to work on next, and tells you when a score is out of date after you edit. Recalculate whenever you like. The score is rule-based: it uses no AI and never costs a credit. Real applicant tracking systems vary, so treat it as a checklist, not a verdict. TAILORED TO THE JOB. STILL IN YOUR WORDS. Recruiters notice resumes that all read the same: stock buzzwords, and claims the candidate can't back up in an interview. Waypoint tailors from your own resume instead: - It rewords the experience you already have toward the posting. It doesn't add jobs, metrics or history you don't have - Stock AI phrasing is swapped for plain words on every pass, unless the posting itself uses that word - Skills, certifications and employers that aren't on your own resume are taken out - Every change is shown next to your original. Keep it, edit it, or strike it out. Nothing is saved until you approve it - When you ask for a rewrite, numbers that aren't in your resume are flagged KEY FEATURES ★ Save jobs in one click — From LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and company career pages with the Waypoint tab on the page, from the extension popup, or with a right-click anywhere else ★ ATS score (Pro) — See how a tailored resume lines up with the job, check by check ★ Resume tailoring — A version of your resume for each job, reviewed change by change ★ Cover letters — A draft for any saved job, based on the posting and your resume, that you edit before you send ★ Interview prep (Pro/Ultimate) — Why you fit, likely questions, project follow-ups, skill gaps and talking points for that specific role ★ Outreach messages — A short note for LinkedIn or email, addressed to a saved contact when you have one ★ Your own prompts — Change the instructions behind cover letters and outreach messages to match your voice ★ Resume editor and PDF export — Edit with a live preview and download in Classic or Modern layouts ★ Application board — Every application by stage, with presets for your field and stages you can rename, reorder or hide ★ Contacts and reminders — Keep recruiter and hiring manager details with each job, and get reminded to follow up ★ Analytics — Your application funnel, interview rate and activity over time ★ Quick access — From the popup, the side panel, or your new tab page ★ Light and dark mode ★ Export your data — Download your applications as JSON HOW AI IS USED Waypoint uses OpenAI's API for resume tailoring, cover letters, interview prep and outreach messages. - These run only when you click the button for a saved job. Nothing is sent in the background - Your resume and the job description are sent to OpenAI only to draft the document you asked for - OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models - The ATS score doesn't use AI at all HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Waypoint and upload your resume once (PDF or Word) 2. Browse jobs as usual. On LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and career pages, hover the Waypoint tab and press Save 3. Open the job and tailor your resume to it. Review each suggested change, then save 4. Check the ATS score and fix what it points to (Pro) 5. Draft a cover letter, an outreach message or interview prep for the same job 6. Move the job along the board as you hear back, and add notes, contacts and reminders SUPPORTED JOB SITES - LinkedIn Jobs - Indeed - Glassdoor - Company career pages, and any job page with standard job posting markup - Anywhere else: right-click and choose "Save this job to Waypoint" Your applications are stored securely and synced across your devices with your Google account.
