One-click AI translation for YouTube and Bilibili videos
WaveShift brings AI video dubbing directly into the YouTube and Bilibili player. Open a supported video, click the WaveShift button in the player, and WaveShift prepares a translated audio track plus subtitles that play in sync with the original page video. You keep the source video where it is while reducing the time it takes to understand, review, and reuse foreign-language content. **How it works:** 1. Navigate to a supported YouTube or Bilibili video 2. Click the WaveShift Translate button inside the player 3. Track progress in the player or side panel 4. Play AI-dubbed audio and translated subtitles in sync with the source video **Features:** - In-player Translate button for YouTube and Bilibili - AI-dubbed audio synchronized with the original video timeline - Translated subtitles displayed directly on the video - Streaming progress states while the dubbing pipeline runs - Multiple voice engines: Voice Clone (Qwen3), Kokoro neural voices, and Edge TTS - Keep-background audio mode, or voice-only mode without background audio - Chrome Side Panel for managing tasks, history, cancellation, and progress - Supports 10 target languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Italian **How audio overlay works:** WaveShift does not modify, download, or replace the video playing on YouTube/Bilibili. WaveShift processes the source media on its backend to generate translated audio and subtitles, then the extension plays that separate AI-generated track over the original page video in sync. **Privacy and platform access:** WaveShift uses a WaveShift-issued extension access token for authentication. The Chrome Web Store build does not request the `cookies` permission and does not read or transmit YouTube, Bilibili, or WaveShift website cookies. Bilibili may block anonymous server-side imports for some videos. When that happens, use the official download version from waveshift.net/extension; it can use your Bilibili login cookies after local installation. **Note:** A WaveShift account is required.
