One-click AI translation for YouTube and Bilibili videos
WaveShift brings AI video dubbing directly into the YouTube and Bilibili player. Open a supported video, press Translate in the player, and WaveShift prepares a translated audio track plus subtitles that play in sync with the original page video. You keep the source video where it is while cutting the time it takes to understand, review, and reuse foreign-language content. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a supported YouTube or Bilibili video 2. Listen to the dub with translated subtitles, in sync with the original FEATURES • Translate button right inside the YouTube and Bilibili player — no link copying, no new tab • AI-dubbed audio synchronized with the original video timeline • Translated subtitles displayed directly on the video • A countdown to when playback can start, so you know whether to wait or walk away • Voice Clone in two flavours — Steady (reliable, fits most videos) or Vivid (richer emotion and tone) — plus Standard Voice presets for faster synthesis • Transcription tuned for speed or for quality (tighter word alignment, cleaner subtitles) • Five translation styles: Casual, Normal, Classical, Pro, and Creative • Keep the background audio, or generate voice only • Chrome side panel for target language, voice, tasks, history, cancel and retry • Preview and download the finished translated video from waveshift.net • 10 target languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian HOW THE AUDIO OVERLAY WORKS WaveShift never modifies, downloads, or replaces the video playing on YouTube or Bilibili. Our backend processes the source media to generate the translated audio and subtitles, and the extension plays that separate AI-generated track over the original page video, in sync. PRIVACY AND PLATFORM ACCESS WaveShift signs you in with a WaveShift-issued extension access token. The Chrome Web Store build does not request the cookies permission and never reads or transmits your YouTube, Bilibili, or WaveShift cookies. Bilibili blocks anonymous server-side imports for some videos. When that happens, use the official download build from waveshift.net/extension — after local installation it can use your Bilibili login. Screenshots show interface elements enlarged for clarity.
