The fruit is round or slightly oval, the skin is dark green with light green stripes running along it. The leaves of the watermelon are deeply lobed, green, with wavy edges. The plant is a creeping plant that spreads on the ground. The inside of the fruit (when ripe) has red or yellow flesh, sweet, juicy, and contains many seeds (black or white depending on the variety). Uses: Watermelon can be eaten fresh, squeezed for juice, or made into smoothies. It has the effect of cooling, quenching thirst, and diuresis. Watermelon seeds can be roasted and eaten, and are also rich in nutrients.
