No. You can start or join a watch party as a guest. Signing in with Google only adds friends, direct messages and settings that follow you across devices. Do we need the same subscription? Yes — everyone plays the video from their own account, so each person needs access to the service you're watching. That's also why the quality stays perfect for everyone. How many people can watch together? You set the capacity for each room yourself, up to 500 people. Can I watch with friends in another country? Yes. Everyone streams locally, so distance and time zones don't affect playback quality or sync.
