Watch Later Cleaner
Overview
Clear your YouTube Watch Later list in one go.
Empty your YouTube "Watch Later" list in one go. YouTube lets you remove videos from a playlist only one at a time — there is no bulk-delete. The official YouTube Data API has been unable to reach this list since 2016. This extension uses the same internal API that YouTube's own website uses, and clears the list right in your browser with no external server. ■ Safety • Before deleting, it backs the list up to JSON and CSV files and downloads them. Deletion cannot be undone, so it starts only after you check those files and press confirm. • A limited run — including a Dry-run that only downloads the backup — lets you test safely first. • When deletion finishes, it re-counts the list, compares against the actual remaining count, and warns you if they disagree. ■ Speed • About 4 minutes to delete 4,989 items (close to the 5,000 cap) — a measured result. Speed barely drops as the list grows. ■ Privacy • It collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. There is no server. • The only site it talks to is youtube.com — your own data in your own account. • Open source: you can verify everything in the code. ■ Note • The count may differ from what YouTube shows. Deleted or private videos are hidden from the playlist and can't be reached — this is YouTube's behavior, not a limit of the extension.
