WASD Navigation for Google Maps
Overview
Glide around Google Maps with the W, A, S and D keys. Works in Street View too.
Tired of click-and-drag? Move around Google Maps like in a game. Hold W, A, S or D and the map glides smoothly in that direction, with gentle acceleration and deceleration. Combine keys for diagonal movement. • W / A / S / D: glide north / west / south / east • Street View: A / D turn the camera, W / S step forward / back • Works on every regional Google Maps site (google.com, google.de, google.co.uk, ...) • Uses physical key positions, so it works on AZERTY and other layouts • Never interferes while you type in the search box or other inputs Tip: Google Maps focuses the search box when it loads. Click anywhere on the map once, then use WASD. Privacy: this extension collects no data, makes no network requests and has no settings. It only runs on Google Maps pages. Open source (MIT).
