Treat Warpsurf as experimental software, use it at your own risk, and closely monitor what agents do while they are running. 🔗 Check out the code and contribute: https://github.com/warpsurf/warpsurf --- 🚀 Warpsurf - an AI copilot for your browser Warpsurf is an open-source Chrome extension that helps you chat, search, and automate real web tasks in the side panel using your own API keys. 🎯 We know a browser copilot needs to be fast to be truly useful; "warpsurfing" is the goal and this extension is an early step but we're not there yet. 🏁 ✨ What Warpsurf can do - 💬 Chat & follow-ups: Ask questions, draft content, and ask contextual follow-ups in an always-available side panel. - 🔍 Search-grounded answers: Route queries to search-enabled models when you need fresh, web-backed information. - 🧭 Smart routing: Use Auto mode to send each request to chat, search or single-agent workflows based on your prompt. - 🕹️ Web automation: Let an agent open pages, follow links, click buttons, fill forms, and extract information in its own labeled tab group. - 🎛️ Agent Manager: A dashboard to monitor all active and past workflows with live tab previews, status tracking, cost metrics, and quick actions. - 👥 Multi-agent workflows: For parallelizable jobs, use planner and refiner agents to break tasks into subtasks and instruct worker agents to run them in parallel, each in its own browser context. - 🖼️ Previews & monitoring: Watch tab previews so you can see what agents are doing without constantly switching tabs. - 📑 Tab management: Agents operate in their own tab group + you can choose which tabs to add as context for workflows - 📊 Visibility & history: View per-session token/latency/cost stats, and revisit, rename, or bookmark past chats. - 🧱 Privacy & control: Data is stored locally; you get domain allow/deny "firewall" rules, optional history summarization behind a clear opt-in, and an emergency stop to halt all active workflows. - 🧩 Model agnostic: Connect providers like OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, Grok (xAI), OpenRouter, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (including self-hosted/local ones). - ⏱️ Task estimation: Preview approximate time, token usage, and cost for an agent run before you start it. - 🎤 Voice input: Make warpsurf requests via voice using speech-to-text transcription. - 🛠️ Conversational settings: Change models, adjust parameters, add tabs to context, and configure the extension through natural language—just ask in the chat. 📡 Pricing and latency data sources If enabled, Warpsurf fetches up-to-date model and pricing data from the OpenRouter and Helicone APIs. 🧭 Quick start 1️⃣ Install Warpsurf and pin it from the Chrome extensions menu. 2️⃣ Open the Warpsurf side panel and add at least one LLM API key in Settings → API Keys. 3️⃣ Start with Chat or Search, then try an Agent or Multi-Agent run for real web tasks like multi-site research, comparison tables, or collecting official information from several sites. Warpsurf aims to make the browser a more accessible "door to the Internet" for complex tasks.
