Wardstone
Overview
Generate 2FA codes (TOTP) locally in your browser. QR scanning, optional PIN-encrypted storage, no servers. Nothing leaves your PC.
Generate two-factor authentication (2FA) codes right in your browser — no app to install, no account to create, and nothing ever leaves your device. Wardstone is a simple, privacy-first TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) authenticator that works with any service using standard 2FA — GitHub, Google, AWS, banking sites, and thousands of others. KEY FEATURES - Add accounts by scanning a QR code, pasting an otpauth:// setup URI, or entering the secret key manually - Optional PIN-protected encryption — lock your codes with a PIN and they're encrypted on-device with AES-256-GCM - One-tap copy to clipboard - Visual countdown showing exactly when each code refreshes - Works fully offline PRIVACY, BY DESIGN Wardstone requests no network permissions and makes zero network requests of any kind — it's not capable of sending your data anywhere, because there's no server for it to talk to. Your accounts, codes, and settings stay in your browser's local storage on your device. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. QR SCANNING — PLATFORM NOTE QR scanning uses Chrome's built-in barcode reader, which is available on macOS, Android, and ChromeOS, but not on Windows or Linux. On those platforms, you can still add accounts instantly by typing in the secret key or pasting the otpauth:// URI, which almost every service offers as a "can't scan a QR code?" fallback during setup.
