Checks the check digit of EAN-8, UPC-A, EAN-13, GTIN-14 and SSCC barcodes.
GTIN/EAN Validator checks the check digit of EAN-8, UPC-A, EAN-13, GTIN-14 and SSCC barcodes — the same GS1 algorithm (mod-10, weights 3/1) across all lengths. If a code is invalid, the extension shows exactly what the check digit should be. FEATURES: • Single-code validation in the popup • Missing check-digit generator (enter a code without its last digit, the extension fills it in) • Automatic unwrapping of GS1-128 Application Identifier codes, e.g. (00)..., (01)..., (02)... — exactly as printed on pallet labels and waybills • Country-of-origin hint based on the GS1 prefix • Context menu — select a code on any page, right-click, get the result as a notification • Camera scanner (native BarcodeDetector, with an automatic ZXing fallback when the browser doesn't support it) • On-demand full-page scanning — highlights found codes directly in the document • PDF reader — drop a file, the extension finds and checks every code in the document text • Batch validation of many codes at once, with CSV export • History of recently checked codes (stored locally only) PRIVACY: the extension works fully offline. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. All processing happens locally in the browser. Available in Polish and English (automatic browser language detection).
