AI assistant for translation, sidebar chat, and language learning with dual subtitles on Netflix.

Vyact is a companion extension for the Vyact desktop app. It helps you understand web content, translate text, refine your writing, build vocabulary, learn with Netflix subtitles, and continue AI conversations while you browse. KEY FEATURES • Translate selected text quickly or open a detailed translation in the side panel. • Use Reader Mode to translate selected paragraphs or the main content of the current page. • Look up selected words with contextual meanings, pronunciation, example sentences, and text-to-speech. • Listen to selected text with text-to-speech. • Save useful words and example sentences to your Vyact vocabulary list. • Refine selected text or the full contents of a web editor using natural, grammatically correct, polite, concise, or humorous writing styles. • Choose an output language and provide additional instructions for the writing result. • Review the original and refined text side by side, then safely copy the result without automatically changing the page. • Open the Vyact side panel to ask questions using the current page as context. • Send selected text or the current page to Vyact without copying and pasting. • Display dual subtitles while watching Netflix. • Navigate between subtitle segments, replay the current segment, and automatically pause for focused listening practice. • Ask questions about the current Netflix subtitle and receive AI-powered learning explanations. HOW IT WORKS Vyact requires the Vyact desktop app to be running on your computer. When you use a Vyact feature, the selected text, page content, writing content, or Netflix subtitle content needed for that feature is sent to the locally running Vyact app at localhost. Writing tools generate a refined result based on the text scope, style, output language, and additional instructions you choose. The extension shows the original and generated result for comparison and lets you copy the result. It does not automatically replace or modify content in the web editor. Netflix learning features run only on Netflix playback pages and are activated through the Vyact learning viewer. Subtitle content is sent to the desktop app only when required for a feature you request, such as an AI explanation. The extension does not operate its own remote service or sell browsing data. Any further AI processing is handled by the Vyact desktop app and the AI provider selected by the user. PRIVACY Vyact accesses page, writing, or subtitle content only to provide features that you explicitly request, such as translation, word lookup, writing refinement, page-context chat, Netflix subtitle learning, or saving the current page.
