Vyact is a companion extension for the Vyact desktop app. It helps you understand web content, translate text, build vocabulary, and continue AI conversations while you browse. Key features • Translate selected text quickly or open a detailed translation in the side panel. • Use Reader Mode to translate selected paragraphs or the main content of the current page. • Look up selected words with contextual meanings, pronunciation, example sentences, and text-to-speech. • Listen to selected text with text-to-speech. • Save useful words and example sentences to your Vyact vocabulary list. • Open the Vyact side panel to ask questions using the current page as context. • Send selected text or the current page to Vyact without copying and pasting. How it works Vyact requires the Vyact desktop app to be running on your computer. When you use a Vyact feature, the selected text or page content needed for that feature is sent to the locally running Vyact app at localhost. The extension does not operate its own remote service or sell browsing data. Any further AI processing is handled by the Vyact desktop app and the AI provider selected by the user. Privacy Vyact accesses page content only to provide features that you explicitly request, such as translation, word lookup, page-context chat, or saving the current page.
