Unlike simple volume boosters, Volume Equalizer uses real automatic gain control to measure loudness in real time and bring everything to your target level. Quiet dialogue gets lifted, loud action scenes get tamed, and switching between Netflix, YouTube, and Twitch feels seamless. KEY FEATURES Smart auto-normalization Real automatic gain control measures loudness 10 times per second and adjusts gain smoothly. Soft compression handles peaks without crushing audio quality. Four built-in presets Default, Movies, Music, and Podcasts. Each preset tunes loudness target, compression intensity, boost limit, and 3-band EQ in one click. 3-band equalizer Bass, Mid, and Treble bands, plus or minus 12 dB each. Drag the vertical sliders to shape audio for your headphones, speakers, or content type. Double-click any band to reset to zero. Target loudness control Set your preferred listening level from -30 dB (quiet, lots of headroom) to -10 dB (loud and forward). Default is -18 dB, a comfortable balance for most content. Intensity control Tune how aggressively peaks are flattened. Soft for music to preserve dynamics, hard for movies to keep dialogue intelligible. Safety boost cap Protects your hearing by limiting how much the auto-gain can boost quiet content. Adjustable from 1.0x to 3.0x. True bypass mode One toggle disables all processing and routes the original audio straight to your speakers. Useful for A/B comparison or when you want unmodified sound. 100% local processing All audio is processed inside your browser using the standard Web Audio API. Audio is never uploaded, recorded, or transmitted. The extension makes zero network requests.
